Watch out for elevated histamine before recommending Folic Acid (B9)
Patients already possessing elevated histamine levels can suffer due to an association of certain autoimmune disorders being the result of elevated histamine levels. Dementias, schizophrenia, depression, Pyrole disorder or pyroluria (leads to delusions) can result from too much histamine too. It may be time to take a look at too much Folic acid rather than too little in diets of such patients.
Histamine excites neurotransmitters. In autoimmune disorders and various psychoses patients it’s prudent to be certain that when supplementing with Vitamin B complex vitamins that people and doctors don’t make the mistake of supplements offering too much Folic Acid to them as patients with certain disorders may be inclined to exacerbate.
Elevated histamine levels are common in autoimmune disorders, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, ADD, depression and other dementias. Folic Acid and leafy greens rich in it may experience worsening of symptoms with elevated doses of Folic Acid (B9) just as others they can improve with it, if they do not have elevated histamine levels say researchers and physicians who treat such cases with metabolic therapy. Always associate elevated histamine with allergies reactions, chronic sinusitis and repeated congestive conditions of the upper respiratory system to rule out elevated histamine patients and check then check supplements you’re taking for large doses of Folic Acid (B6).

Chicago Illinois: Chiropractors may want to take a closer look at the hair on their patients
Pfeiffer Treatment Center, which is run by a group of dedicated medical specialists researching the effects of chemical imbalances related to such mental health issues as schizophrenia, attention deficit disorders, premenstrual stress and pyrole or pyroluria, have concluded that most of these conditions resolve themselves by proper nutritional management. For years there has been a growing body of psychiatrists supporting the idea that zinc/copper imbalance can lead to various psychoses, delusional behaviour and even life threatening conditions. Pyroluria results from improper retention of water soluble vitamins B and C depleting in those affected when zinc depletes resulting in copper elevation. That can be a toxic situation that could first be detected with hair analysis, suggests Pfeiffer. The Chicago based Treatment Centre frequently uses hair analysis to detect chemical imbalance in patients with schizophrenic like symptoms. When patients are given a treatment of zinc and B complex vitamins, particularly B6 and Vitamin C, they improve rapidly in comparison to when they often grew worse on conventional drug therapy. “It seems that the hair reveals all,” states Pfeiffer’s literature.
